11 – NetWare Driver Installation

4. Select Configure disk and storage device drivers.

5. Select Select an additional driver.

6. Press INSERT to install an unlisted driver. (Do not press ENTER, which causes

the installer to look for drivers on the NetWare CD.)

7. Insert the driver disk created in section 11.2 and press F3 to specify the path

to the QLogic HAM driver:

A:\NETWARE

8. Press ENTER to select the QLogic HAM driver and select Yes to copy the driver

from the disk to the server directory.

Updating the Existing NetWare Driver

Perform the following steps if the NetWare driver is already installed and you want

to install an updated version of the driver:

1. From the NetWare server prompt, load the appropriate NetWare program:

LOAD INSTALL (NetWare 4.x)

LOAD NWCONFIG (NetWare 5.x, 6.0)

LOAD HDETECT (NetWare 6.5)

2. Select Driver options from the main menu.

3. Select Configure disk and storage device drivers.

4. Select Deselect a selected driver.

5. Choose the QL2x00 HAM driver.

6. Select Select an additional driver.

7. Press INSERT to install an unlisted driver. (Do not press ENTER, which causes

the installer to look for drivers on the NetWare CD.)

8. Insert the driver disk created in section 11.2 and press F3 to specify the path

to the QLogic HAM driver:

A:\NETWARE

9. Press ENTER to select the QLogic HAM driver and select Yes to copy the driver

from the disk to the server directory.

10. Select Select/Modify drivers parameter.

11. Insert the slot number and press F10.

12. Select Save parameters and load driver.
